GUEST - Jayne Luscombe

For over fifteen years, Jayne has been creating silver jewellery that reflects her fascination with textures and finishes. She loves to play around with abstract patterns and different finishing techniques to add depth and interest. Her favourite finishes are those that bring out the best of the clean geometric pieces. For example, a heavily oxidised finish makes gold accents pop, whereas a brushed, soft sheen adds a contemporary feel that highlights a texture or shape. 

She enjoys the challenge of developing new skills and is currently practicing engraving techniques to add different types of texture, as well as experimenting with patination techniques. The current trial of using pineapple juice, salt and porridge on copper have yet to yield any results but Jayne remains ever hopeful for a lush greeny-bluey hue to the copper.
