By Anne McArdle
An enamelled pendant created by riveting two pieces of enamel together. The base is enamelled with Etruscan blue to front and black to the reverse. The top piece is enamelled with clear enamel then fine silver foil is fired to the piece. Then a clear layer followed by a layer of Kingfisher blue. To complete the enamelling a layer of separation enamel was applied fired again to separate the top layer of enamel. Then the rivets were made and aligned with the pre-made rivet holes and hammered gently into place. A handmade silver bail was added plus the chain
