SMI142, Sionna and Reynard
Textile Mixed-media
45 x 45 cm Framed
By Gillian Smith
Sionna and Reynard are a pair of young fox cubs depicted in free motion machine embroidery. Reynard is a traditional name for a fox and Sionna was a Celtic goddess, revered as a shapeshifting fox, whose name means 'possessor of wisdom'. They stand on a background of hand-painted acrylic. This unique piece is presented floating within a smart black, deep square box frame.
