This is a unique textile mixed media artwork. It has been designed as the first in a series depicting nocturnal creatures, accompanied by layered paper construction.
The free motion machine embroidered barn owl pauses in its hunting, surrounded by layered, cut and painted tall grass, which hide the painted tissue paper moths. A snapshot of the night's activities.
The piece is presented in a smart black, deep frame.
