WES267, Magma necklace
Labradorite, amber, haematite, sterling silver, coated steel wire
By Camilla West
This long line 60cm/24" necklace is made from large faceted chunks of subtly gleaming labradorite and fiery glowing amber, separated by charcoal black haematite. Labradorite is an igneous gemstone formed by volcanic activity, and the dark greys with the deep orange amber conjure up to me a volcanic flow, moving slowly as it cools from red-hot to solid black rock. The gleams from the labradorite add unexpected flashes of movement and magic. Handmade sterling silver clasp.
