Pretty little Christmas trees shaped by hand from gold-filled wire and hammered, with handmade gold-filled ear wires. Gold fill is a layer of gold much thicker than gold plate (it's one twentieth of the total metal weight, instead of just a few particles thick), and it's bonded much more firmly to the underlying metal. This means that the gold won't rub off with wear like gold plate does. Season's greetings!
